[View \| Download]	DJ Woody 2001 Vestax Extravaganza LA. By djwoody This set was filmed in 2001 at the Vestax World Finals in Los Angeles. The routine comprises of three separate parts, each used separately a week later in San Francisco to win Woody the World ITF. The first is Woody's 'Mimmick' scratch set where he first performs a regular scratch pattern and then repeats the exact pattern but using no-fader techniques, the patterns get increasingly harder and feature extensive combo's using his trademark 'Woodpecker' scratch, it finishes with his comedy 'Ketchup' scratch. The second part is a beatjuggle using a track from the P.U.T.S, here he concentrates on beat construction and fucking up different tempo's. The third and final part is a juggle using a track by UK rappers the Numbskulls, for this set Woody works with the tables in the L formation in order for rapid 33/45 button manipulation with the thumbs. With each deck pitched differently this technique allows Woody to get 12 notes from the original 3. This set is very much an experiment with pitch juggling. By ellaskins My thanks go out to Vestax who gave me the first bit of kit, Pioneer , American Audio and KAM uk,dj download, CD pool uk, DJ mag, mixingonbeat,Cordex,Lamba plc,if i forgot you please give me a boot up the A*S! and all the other companies and people that have contributad in one way or another. This is a bit of fun and i hope to one day try to get a world record for mixing on the most t tables at the same time, but i need more minimalistic techno as aposed to house with loads a vocals and bass line! thanks ! j : ) I ALWAYS PRACTISE AND WHEN IT GOES WRONG I JUST N JOY! : ) The kit used 2 x DDx 5000 vinyl turntables from KAM 1 x CDJ-200 from Pioneer 2 x CDJ-400 form Pioneer 2 x CDJ-800 from Pioneer 1 twin MCD-710 from American audio Studiomaster amp and Peavey monitor. Mixers are DJM,600,700 and 800. How it was set up! I pluged 2 x cdj-400 and a ddx5000 turntable into the djm-700 mixer i then went out of the rec out from the 700 and in to to a line in on the djm-800 mixer i had this channel up so ALL the audio from the 700 would be through this one chanel, and then i pluged a set of cdj-800's and another ddx5000 into the djm-800 and i went out of the rec out of the djm-800 and into a line in on the djm-600, now all the audio from the djm-700 and the djm-800 is now going through the one chanel of the djm-600 and then i pluged in the american audio MCD-710 and the cdj-200 into the djm-600 , phewwww!!! Remember it's about having fun. I am going to practise and i hope if i can get some good minimalistic techno i will be able to do 10 turntables by the summer!! ------------------------------- One day i would like to be in a position where i can go to youth clubs and schools all over the world and give them some dj kit, this way more people will be able to N JOY the music and be able to PRACTISE becoming a dj at the same time. ps, expect to see me at the BPM show in Castle Donnington this YR 2008 with my own stall with other DJ's giving free advise! Equipment: ScratchLIVE Software/Records, Stanton T.60 turntable, Vestax PMC 17A mixer, Onkyo amp, Infinity 250 speakers, and Denon DN-HP1000 headphones I am on a budget so only one turntable for now. With ScratchLIVE, it is possible to switch between playing from the PC and mixing in with one turntable.
