[View \| Download]	The Tiki Lounge By jokingaround Here is another display my team and I built at the same store (Publix #833). We went with a tropical theme highlighting a tiki/beach lounge idea. We purchased real palm trees, a lily, and various other accoutrements to decorate the display. The large tiki on the left side of the display is a real carved palm tree! All of the tikis come from my personal collection at home [with strong objection from my wife -- if any are stolen, I may be in for a divorce :)]. And, yes, that's real sand. We used about 140 cases of Bud Family 18pk btls, 80 cases of Mich Family 12pk btls, 4 case mix of Ultra Fusion 6pks, 4 case mix of Bud Family 6pks, and 4 cases of LandShark 6pks and 12pks. Believe it or not, the 6 packs really sell from the display! Even the store manager commented on how well the 6pks of Ultra Fusion sold from the display rack on that last display. This was a big step because he was not real enthusiastic about putting the 6pks out there initially. And my salesman informed me that the Bud 6pks performed well, too. He was filling both racks on every visit, but the Ultra Fusion 6pks kept a stronger sales pace. If you're a wholesaler's salesman thinking of building a big themed display like this, you really need to incorporate 6pks into it. It might not be an easy sell, but it is worth the effort. And if you're a store manager having a display like this built in your store, you need to remember that you are making a much higher margin on those 6pks and would be well served by having them out there for those impulse purchasers. Why? Because it works! Finally, just as an FYI. I have had several people ask why and how I have put these displays in motion and to music. How? I use Pinnacle Studio on my PC. Why? Because one or two static photos of a great display says little. But when you incorporate over 40 photos of an average display into a presentation video like this, one that zooms and pans to every different angle of the display, you are drawing the viewer into the scene. It allows you to show them details that otherwise go unnoticed in a single photo. As a perfect example: Our national accounts rep commented to me that this display was much more impressive in person than the single photo I had sent him. Point proved! For 10€ you get a tour of the museum (including its very interesting scent room), a custom cocktail, a genevers (gin) cocktail and five flavour shots. If you don't drink, like myself, they'll also make you up a virgin cocktail. The staff were very friendly and after you've gone through the musuem and its drinks (considering a cocktail alone will set you back 7-12€ in A'dam, Paris or Brussels, it's a good price), there's a half-decent gift-shop up-top.
