Bob Dylan-The Times They Are A-Changin By panicxitsxbrea Comments on this video have been blocked for a few days due to tools commenting on it about Obama's victory and completely missing the point of every intelligent musician who has ever existed, which obviously included Bob Dylan before he got brainwashed or whatever it is that's causing his eyes to look so dead as of late. No really, I don't care if you don't like it. Try looking up the Bohemian Grove, or Zbigniew Brzezinski's "The Grand Chessboard". Look up The Cremation of Care, or what the Bilderbergers REALLY are, or Alastor Crowley hanging around with our presidents. Try looking up 33rd degree masonry and the Satanic symbols you're seeing in your every day life by way of advertising. Try looking up one of any of the HUNDREDS of things that would ACTUALLY enlighten you on what's going on, so you don't think some puppet on a stage is going to "bring about change". Bob Dylan - Chimes of Freedom 1964 live By fritz5112 Bob Dylan - Chimes of Freedom 1964 live Far between finished sundown's an' midnight's broken toll We ducked inside the doorway as thunder went crashing As majestic bells of bolts struck shadows in the sounds Seeming to be the chimes of freedom flashing Flashing for the warriors whose strength is not to fight Flashing for the refugees on the unarmed road of flight And for each an' ev'ry underdog soldier in the night And we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing. Through the city's melting furnace, unexpectedly we watched With faces hidden while the walls were tightening As the echo of the wedding bells before the blowin' rain Dissolved into the bells of the lightning Tolling for the rebel, tolling for the rake Tolling for the luckless, the abandoned an' forsaked Tolling for the outcast, burnin' constantly at stake And we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing. Through the mad mystic hammering of the wild ripping hail The sky cracked its poems in naked wonder That the clinging of the church bells blew far into the night Leaving only bells of lightning and its thunder Striking for the gentle, striking for the kind Striking for the guardians and protectors of the mind And the unpawned painter behind beyond his rightful time And we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing. Through the wild cathedral evening the rain unraveled tales For the disrobed faceless forms of no position Tolling for the tongues with no place to bring their thoughts All down in taken-for-granted situations Tolling for the deaf and blind, tolling for the mute Tolling for the mistreated, mateless mother, the mistitled prostitute For the misdemeanor outlaw, chased and cheated by pursuit And we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing. Tolling for the searching, on their speechless, seeking trail For the lonesome-hearted lovers with too personal a tale And for each unharmful, gentle soul misplaced inside a jail And we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing. Starry-eyed and laughing as I recall when we were caught Trapped by no track of hours for they hanged suspended As we listened one last time an' we watched with one last look Spellbound an' swallowed 'til the tolling ended Tolling for the aching ones whose wounds cannot be nursed For the countless confused, accused, misused, strung-out ones and worse And for every hung-up person in the whole wide universe And we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing. This footage was taken by a local news crew covering the story. There was no audio on the film's sound track so I substituted audio from the Hollywood Bowl concert from August 23. The Beatles - Matchbox By Revan0357 The Beatles - Matchbox Copyright - 1964 EMI Records Ltd. "Matchbox" is a 12-bar blues by Blind Lemon Jefferson. The modern rockabilly version of the song is credited to Carl Perkins and first recorded by him at Sun Records in 1957. It is one of Perkins' best-known recordings, although it gained additional notoriety through the wealth of cover versions that followed, notably the cover by The Beatles. Although credited to Perkins, as was the case with many early rock and roll recordings, it was in fact a rewritten version of a previously-existing song that can trace its origins to a traditional blues number originally recorded in 1927 and rewritten by Perkins when he came to record his own version in 1957. The song consists mainly of traditional blues lyrics, including the initial verse: "I'm sittin' here wonderin', will a matchbox hold my clothes (2X) "I ain't got no matches but I still got a long way to go." This verse is the only one common to all versions of the song. The Beatles The Beatles, being fans of Perkins, began performing the song circa 1961. Their then-drummer, Pete Best, performed the lead vocals, but no studio recording featuring Best doing the song is known to exist. In 1962, John Lennon sang the song during a performance at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany; a recording of this exists and was included on Live! at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany; 1962. The next year, The Beatles performed "Matchbox" with Ringo Starr on lead vocals for their BBC radio show, and this version would be included on the Live at the BBC album. Starr also got to sing lead vocals on it when it was recorded in 1964. There are suggestions that Perkins may have been present in the studio at that time. As was usually the case, all instruments on the song are played by The Beatles themselves, with the exception of the piano, which was played by producer George Martin. It appeared on the Long Tall Sally EP in the United Kingdom and the Something New album in the United States, and was also the B-side of the American "Slow Down" single, released on 24 August 1964, which reached no. 17 in the charts. This song is possibly the only Beatles song to have had three different lead vocalists for their renditions of it. Numerous other artists have recorded their own versions of "Matchbox", including Ronnie Hawkins and Jerry Lee Lewis. In Sam Cooke's live version, he interjects, "Can you see me putting all my clothes in a little old matchbox?" Paul McCartney plays the songs during his soundchecks and played them at his recent "secret gigs" promoting his new album. Recorded 1 June 1964 Lyrics: I said I'm sitting here watching matchbox hole in my clothes I said I'm sitting here wondering matchbox hole in my clothes I ain't got no matches but I sure got a long way to go I'm an old poor boy I'm a long way from home I'm an old poor boy and I'm a long way from home I've never been happy cause everything I ever did was wrong Well, if you don't want my peaches honey please don't shake my tree If you don't want any of those peaches honey, please don't mess around my tree I've got news for you baby Leave me here in misery, all right! Well let me be your little dog till your big dog comes Let me be your little dog till your big dog comes And when your big dog gets here watch how your puppy dog runs Well I said I'm sitting here watching matchbox hole in my clothes I said I'm sitting here wondering matchbox hole in my clothes I ain't got no matches but I sure got a long way to go Tags: 1964, beatles, long, sally, tall, the 1 Downloads - Last from: http://downthisvideo.com/ (Your Blog here!) |

The Beatles - Baby's In Black By Revan0357 The Beatles - Baby's In Black High Quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pawk6m... Copyright - 1964 EMI Records Ltd. "Baby's in Black" is a song by The Beatles, co-written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and released in the United Kingdom on Beatles for Sale and in the United States on Beatles '65. Unusually for the Beatles, the song has a 6/8 time signature with a moderate tempo that makes it sound like 3/4 (waltz-time). The song's lyrics may be about Astrid Kirchherr, a friend and photographer the Beatles met during their first trip to Hamburg. She was Stuart Sutcliffe's fiancée, and was distraught over his death. Recording The Beatles recorded "Baby's in Black" on 11 August 1964, the first song recorded for Beatles for Sale. Lennon and McCartney sang their vocal parts simultaneously through the same microphone. This was done at their own insistence in order to achieve a closer feel to the performance. McCartney was subsequently contacted by their music publisher in 1964 inquiring as to which melody line was the main tune (i.e. Paul's higher or John's lower melody). McCartney later said that he told the publisher they were both the main melody.[ The song was a lament to Astrid Kirchner, who favoured dressing in black. Astrid was the German female photographer who styled the Beatles famous moptop haircut during their time in Hamburg, and had a deeply romantic relationship with Stu Sutcliffe, The Beatles' first bassist, and a cohort of Lennon's from his art college days. Sutcliffe died from a brain hemorrhage in Germany. It's said that Astrid never got over this hence the inspiration for the lyrics of this song. Although "Baby's in Black", which AMG described as "a love lament for a grieving girl that was perhaps more morose than any previous Beatles song," was, as described by some, as mostly Lennon's work, it was written in the same room with McCartney, who contributed a harmony to it. Other therefore dispute that the song was mostly Lennon's work and claim that Lennon and McCartney were equally responsible for the song's composition; a claim that might be supported by the fact that both Lennon and McCartney shared lead vocal duties. Live performances The Beatles performed "Baby's in Black" live during their appearances from late 1964 until their last tour in 1966, and usually as the third song in their set after "Rock and Roll Music" and "Long Tall Sally." McCartney said they introduced the song by saying, "'And now for something different.' ... We used to put that in there, and think, 'Well, they won't know quite what to make of this, but it's cool.'" In 1996, a live version of "Baby's in Black" was released as a B-side to the second (and last but one) Beatles "reunion" single, "Real Love". Baby's In Black was also performed at The Beatles 1965 concert at Shea Stadium. Recorded Abbey Road: 11 August 1964 Lyrics: Oh dear, what can I do Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue Tell me, oh, what can I do She thinks of him and so she dressed in black And though he'll never come back she's dressed in black Oh, dear, what can I do baby's in black and I'm feeling blue Tell me oh, what can I do? I think of her but she thinks only of him And though it's only a whim, she thinks of him Oh, how long will it take till she sees the mistake she has made? Dear, what can I do Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue Tell me oh, what can I do She thinks of him and so she dresses in black And though he'll never come back she's dressed in black Oh, dear what can I do Baby's in black and I'm feeling blue Tell me oh, what can I do?
